Serial Digital Video Board for HD-SDI, SDI and DVB-ASI on Xilinx Virtex 6 and Spartan 6

The CTXIL671 FCM card was designed to attach to the Xilinx ML605 or SP605 demo boards. The HPC FMC connector can be attached to either the HPC or LPC connectors on the ML605. By designing the CTXIL671 board as a standard FMC card for the ML605 Cook Technologies can offer HD-SDI design demo systems at substantially reduced costs from previous generation platforms.

The CTXIL671 allow the user to test and verify the following standards: 3G HD-SDI (SMPTE424), Dual-Link HD-SDI (SMPTE 372M), HD-SDI (SMPTE292M), SDI (SMPTE259M), DVB-ASI, AES3 Audio, AES10 Audio. In addition the 2 Clock Module Interfaces allow the user to add and test many different classes of clocking options to HD-SDI and AES. These can be used for direct clock generation or jitter reduction of retransmitted clocks.

The CTXIL671 has the following: 4 pairs of triple rate capable HD-SDI transceivers by National. 2 pairs of AES3 audio transceivers, 1 pair of AES10 audio transceivers, Sync separator, 2 high speed clock module interfaces, and for maximum clock flexibility, an on-board Silicon Labs Any-rate Precision Clock, and two high speed add-on clock modules are available. In addition, the CTXIL671, also has an expansion slot for additional pass through FMC cards. In the future this may include a XAUI Gig-Ethernet, or additional HD_SDI channels.
